Smashed Piñata Cakes was formed in early 2017 after Camberwell mum Kristy made the most incredible Smash Cake for her son’s birthday. After his party Kristy had so many requests, that’s when Smashed Piñata Cakes was born. Since then Kristy has Created Smash Cakes for 1st birthdays to 70ths and many corporate cakes in between. Kristy’s love for fine food started young. In her late teens/early 20s she travelled aboard to work as a fashion model where she become obsessed with the different foods and desserts of the world. On returning to Australia in 2004 she meet her now husband and started a successful gourmet burger shop later selling out to work on her career in fashion. Working with luxury brands such as Montblanc and Salvotore Ferragamo she expanded her creative side. But something was missing…… her love and passion for food.
Smashed Piñata only uses the finest ingredients. We craft our chocolate domes from the finest Belgian Chocolate- Barry Callebaut. The inside of our Pinatas is made up of Allan’s, Cadbury, Lindt or whatever you can taste bud want. It’s such a quirky and exciting cake that is like no other.
